Artist's Statement:

From a young age, I have been compelled to paint. Quite simply, painting is my passion. I produce artwork to which people can find an emotional attachment. Living in wine country, the focus of the majority of my paintings is vineyards, mountains and lakes. However, I do enjoy and am challenged to capture other scenery on my travels throughout western and northern Canada.

My focus has been on large canvasses, vibrant colour and bold brushstrokes. These elements allow me to capture the impressionistic view of the landscape rather than a detailed rendering. I start with a composition but at some point, the painting takes over! A blank canvas is always the start of a new adventure!
